The complimentary exhibit is open to the public through Spring 2020.
Location: Coronet Lounge.
Matson Navigation Company, Inc., the company that helped inspire generations of travel to Hawaii by building The Royal Hawaiian in 1927, will be sharing rare treasures from its archives during the Matson Archive Fashion Exhibit. A collection of fashion from the 1920s – 1960s will be on display, featuring 55 fashion photographs and illustrations ranging from cruise attire to bathing suits, cocktail dresses, evening gowns and Hawaiian holoku with a long elegant train.
This is the seventh Matson exhibit at The Royal Hawaiian. Earlier exhibits included Amelia Earhart in Hawaii, Hollywood’s Golden Age in Waikiki, Boat Days, The Waikiki Beach Boys, The Vintage Menu Exhibit and The Travel to Hawaii Ads Exhibit.
Every Tuesday, 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.
Join us in our tranquil Lurline Lanai as world-renowned Artist-in-Residence Eva Makk teaches you how to create a beautiful Royal Hawaiian painting masterpiece that you can take home with you. Hang it on your own wall, or gift it to someone who loves the Pink Palace.
Cost is $50. Payment will be made at the event. Reserve at our Concierge Desk or email RoyalHawaiian-Concierge@pleasant.net.
When you stay at The Royal Hawaiian, you can experience a number of exciting on-property activities, including morning yoga classes, HiuWai – a Hawaiian sunrise ceremony, lei making, and much more.
