Your memorable Hawaii experience begins at this inimitable beachfront bar where you can lounge and listen to modern mele (songs) performed every evening by the island’s most talented musicians. Vibrant tropical music and live local entertainment at sunset provides the perfect atmosphere for winding down.

Pink Hibiscus Hefe Beer

Exclusively made for The Royal Hawaiian, we teamed up with Waikiki Brewing Company to create a delicious pink beer, brewed with hibiscus to give it a rich pink hue.

The unfiltered wheat beer is smooth with bright citrus notes to start, then flows into subtle tartness to finish. Cost is $8.

Mai Tai

In 1953 the Matson Navigation Company commissioned Victor Bergeron to create a drink for their new hotel The Royal Hawaiian. Trader crafted it for some friends who were visiting from Tahiti, who then cried out, “Maita’i” the Tahitian word for “good”. Trader Vic then made a variation on the Mai Tai recipe adding pineapple juice, which is still served today at the hotel.
