Kamehameha Suite

Spa Suite

Tax Update

The Transit Accommodations Tax for the State of Hawaii will increase 1% on July 1, 2009. This increase from Hawaii Senate Bill #1111 raises the Transient Accommodations Tax (hotel room tax) from 7.25% to 8.25%.

Thus all reservations with room nights in-house effective July 1, 2009 will be assessed this additional charge.

OAHU: The Hawaii General Excise Tax (GET) in the City & County of Honolulu is to be collected at the rate of 4.712% and combined with the new Transient Accommodations Tax of 8.25%, results in a total of 12.962%. The taxes are exclusive of each other.

MAUI, KAUAI, BIG ISLAND: The Hawaii General Excise Tax (GET) is to be collected at the rate of 4.l66% and combined with the new Transient Accommodations Tax of 8.25% results in a total of 12.416%. The taxes are exclusive of each other.

Additionally, effective July 1, 2010 the Transit Accommodations Tax for the State of Hawaii will increase by an additional 1% from 8.25% to 9.25%.
