The Royal Hawaiian, a Luxury Collection Resort has, once again, partnered with Matson Navigation Company to presents ads that were taken by famous photographers of the time, Anton Bruehl and Edward Steichen. Matson ads appeared in magazines such as Vogue, National Geographic, Sunset, The New Yorker, Holiday, TIME and many more. In 1937, a well-known hula dancer named Pualani Mossman became the Matson poster girl. Visit the exhibit located in the Coronet Lounge, Lower Lobby. Exhibit is open to the public with no admission fee.

Lights, camera, Rokerthon! NBC’s TODAY’s popular weather anchor Al Roker is en route to Honolulu, bringing back the history-making event and hitting the road for “Rokerthon 2, Taking America By Storm.” Roker will be reporting LIVE from the Royal Hawaiian, a Luxury Collection Resort.
While the viewing of the filming locations on The Royal Hawaiian property are reserved exclusively for guests of the resorts, the public is more than welcome to enjoy the Today Show’s primary broadcast setting on the Ocean Lawn from 2 – 4:30 a.m. on November 6.

*As the resort will be closed for access at this time, spectators may walk through the public beach access located between The Royal Hawaiian and Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach.
*Parking in the Sheraton Waikiki parking lot will be available, however, normal parking rates will apply as The Royal Hawaiian and Sheraton Waikiki will not validate tickets for attendance at this event.
